FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Is this service really free?

Yes. EuroCC Denmark is funded through DeiC and the European EuroHPC Joint Undertaking. All our services — consultations, access support, workshops — are provided free of charge.

Who can use EuroCC Denmark's services?

Any Danish company, start-up, public organisation, or research institution. You don't need to be a tech company or have HPC experience. Whether you're a one-person start-up or a large enterprise, we can help.

What kinds of projects can benefit from supercomputing?

Projects that involve large-scale data processing, simulations (weather, engineering, molecular), risk modelling, AI model training, and similar compute-intensive tasks. If your workload takes hours on a regular computer, it may take minutes on a supercomputer.

How long does it take to get access to a supercomputer?

The timeline depends on the system and the type of access. Some applications are approved within days. We guide you through the process and handle the paperwork together with you.

What is an AI Factory?

AI Factories are dedicated European supercomputing facilities designed specifically for AI workloads. They provide compute, data, and training resources. Europe currently operates 19 AI Factories and 13 AI Factory Antennas. EuroCC Denmark helps you access them.

Are there any limitations on what I can use the computing time for?

The computing time is intended for research, development, and proof-of-concept work. Commercial production workloads are generally not covered. We'll help you understand what's eligible during our exploratory meeting.

About Us

A national competence centre for HPC, AI and HPDA

About the EuroCC project

The EuroCC project is a European initiative under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU) that builds and operates a network of 36 National Competence Centres (NCCs) for High Performance Computing (HPC), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Data Analytics (HPDA). The project supports the adoption and effective use of these technologies by industry, academia and the public sector across Europe.
